Martin Fourcade Wins Season-Opening Individual Competition

Martin Fourcade won the first competition of the season for the second year in a row today in the Men’s Individual. Fourcade has started the season off just where he finished the last one: on top. With one penalty Fourcade demonstrated his superior ski speed to beat out Dominik Landertinger (one penalty, +12.3) and Erik Lesser (no penalties, +21.7).

Scott Perras led the charge for the North Americans in 32nd, with Tim Burke 33rd, Nathan Smith 55th, JP Le Guellec 62nd, Lowell Bailey 37th, Jay Hakkinen 63rd, Leif Nordgren 75th and Russell Currier 89th.
