Artem Pryma of the Ukraine won the Men’s 15 km Individual today, with Evgeny Ustyugov and Krasimir Anev completing the podium.
Starting with bib 1, Pryma was in the lead the entire time. Pryma had one penalty in his second prone stage, to finish in a time of 58:53.0. Ustyugov struggled on the range with three penalties, and finished 9.7 seconds back. Anev was 31.1 seconds back with two penalties.
Canada’s Tyson Smith finished 19th, 3:56.3 back with two penalties. Other North American finishers were Russell Currier in 29th (5:20.2 back, five penalties), Patrick Cote in 34th (5:48.3 back, four penalties), Wynn Roberts in 52nd (8:03.3 back, seven penalties), Joel Pacas in 56th (9:38.1 back, five penalties) and Bill Bowler in 58th (10:06.4 back, five penalties).
In the Junior Men’s 15 km Individual, Nikolay Yakushov of Russia came in first place in a time of 47:17.1 with one penalty. Second place went to Simon Desthieux of France, who was 52.5 seconds back with two penalties. Ivan Kryukov of Russia took third place, 1:06.2 back with two penalties.
Raileigh Goessling finished 41st, 9:24.5 back with six penalties, while Eathan Dreissigacher was disqualified.
